A balanced multi supplement for horses

Why would a horse need a multi supplement?
If we wanted to be sure that the hay the horse is fed contains all the vitamins and minerals, we would need to analyse the feed for its food value. Unfortunately this hardly ever happens, if at all. As a result we don't really know what amount of nutrition the horse gets. Often the roughage lacks the trace elements copper, zinc and selenium. Old hay, that has been in storage for a year or more, also often lacks in vitamins and minerals. The basics has to come from somewhere.
